Heater Channel Removal

We need to remove the remaining front sheet metal prior to replacing the heater channels. The heater channels are sandwiched in the front between the bottoms of the inner and outer fender walls.

Since we have so much apart on the front already, we're taking a different approach at doing the R & R on the heater channels. We'll take advantage of this being a convertible and flip it upside down to do the work.

The Dissection

Flipped over and reinforced. Cut through the heater channel. Last pieces are removed.
Prep the rear quarter for the new heater channel. The area near the rear crossmember. Front footwell area is prepped.

We will be installing new crossmenmbers on each side also. These need to go on before the heater channels do so we'll tackle that next.
