Reassemble the nose

The heater channels are in and ground down. Now we can resume assembly of the front. The owner has supplied us with aftermarket replacement panels to use.

Since both fenders and the nose are being replaced, we'll remove some portions of the parts that are either already on the car or on another piece we are replacing.

Since these are aftermarket parts, the stampings are a bit generic so there will be multiple test fittings before any welding is done.

Reassembly

Upright again Upright again New nose
We have flipped the body back over onto it's new reinforcement rails It looks a whole lot better This nose section has a portion of the fender on each side that we don't need.
Trim and fit the piece Welding prep Drilled and prepped
The fender had a portion of the fuel tank opening that we don't need so it was removed Any area that welding will be done is prepped with weld through primer. All the pieces have been drilled and prepared for a test fit.
Fitting nose
We use vise-grip clamps to hold it all together. The last piece of the front ties it all together. Things look good so let's get it welded up.
